Overview
Principles are abstractions of reality. They offer the means to reveal underlying dynamics and patterns out of depth and give insights into how we see both the present and the future. Principles are relatively stable over time and offer a way of discovering how far back we can meaningfully push our inquiries into what we are doing. We construct models on the basis of principles. Models are the structures and concepts that under-gird a business. If principles are the ultimate abstractions, models are abstractions in action. In this sense, ideas are models created based on principles. Principles can also be used to examine the effectiveness of our models as well as the differences among models.
