| Develop User Model |
The business model contains all the interactions between business stakeholders within the transactional environment and the organizational units within the enterprise software system. A user model describes the interactions between agents and software components within the enterprise software system. Therefore, the user model goes "under the hood" to realize the business model and is a direct translation of the business model.
The business model contains process types, while the user model contains process occurrences that involve particular agents that we call "actors" in the use of the software subsystems that are under development. For each process type, there could be multiple process occurrences for the use of different technologies. From the business model, use cases are objectively identified along with actors as well as pre- and post-conditions. The user model is developed in two iterative and incremental steps, which are described below. |
