| Develop Customer Model |
The customer model captures the needs of business stakeholders that exist within the transactional environment. They are the bedrock; they set the scope of the system under development, specify the boundary of transactional environment, identify products and services to be produced by the enterprise software system, and determine possible business processes that can deliver the requested products and services.
Until we completely understand the boundary of the system to be developed, we can't specify the right requirements. Creating a complete customer model allows us to identify with subjective certainty the boundary, or the business scope, of the project.
The following chart outlines the steps needed to identify the customer of an enterprise software system under development. |
